On Friday evening, October 9, I’ll be leading a retreat session for Restoration Anglican Church in Virginia. My topic will be Praying Like Jesus by Praying the Psalms. That Sunday morning, October 11, I’ll be preaching on Matthew 8:1-4, on the story of Jesus’ healing of the leper. My point is that when Jesus touches people’s physical bodies, he helps us them to be at home—with themselves, with their community, with God.
